Acting General Manager - Gulf Maritime Services
Daymon first joined Steamships as Operation Manager at Pacific Towing. He was named as Acting General Manager for new joint-venture Gulf Maritime Services in 2023, working with the Gulf Provincial Government, GFS and local landowners to service the Papua LNG Projects. Daymon brings a 30 years’ worth of experience in towage, salvage and the oil and gas sector, inclusive of SBM maintenance, commercial diving operations, VLCC berthing operations and rig standby vessels. Originally from South Africa, Daymon is a qualified Navigation Officer, Master of Port Operations, and IHM Surveyor. He has worked in several different countries on a broad spectrum of vessels and companies which include Smit Salvage, Smit Lamnalco and Svitzer.
