Sheila Sukwianomb is a seasoned legal and governance professional with 20 years of experience supporting high-level decision-making across Papua New Guinea’s private and public sectors. She has held leadership roles in corporate law, governance, and compliance, bringing strategic insight to complex business environments.
In the private sector, Sheila served as Head of Legal and Company Secretary at WR Carpenters (PNG) Group of Companies, overseeing legal functions across a diversified commercial group. Her expertise spans commercial and property law, corporate transactions, and governance frameworks. In the public sector, she held senior roles within the Department of Lands & Physical Planning, specialising in land law, policy development, and regulatory reform.
Sheila holds a Master of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Papua New Guinea. She also serves as a board director, contributing governance expertise and strategic oversight. Her commitment to integrity and sound decision- making underpins her work in strengthening organisational governance and accountability.
