Damian is a seasoned hospitality executive with more than 25+ years of international experience across luxury, upper-upscale, and mixed-use hotels in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and the Pacific. An Australian national and graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, he has held senior leadership positions with global brands including Marriott, Starwood, IHG and Anantara.
His expertise spans full hotel operations, post-COVID business repositioning, major refurbishments, rebranding, crisis management, and leading large hospitality teams in complex environments. He has managed some of the region’s largest hotel assets, including properties with over 600 rooms and workforces exceeding 500 employees.
As Head of Division – Steamships Hospitality, Damian brings deep operational insight, development experience, and strategic leadership to support Steamships’ long-term growth and strengthen its position as a market leader in Papua New Guinea.
